Beyond Light, Risør 10.-11.juni
LINDA EVENSEN DESIGN, together with Designit, was one of seven designer teams who were invited to participate to this years design event and exhibition in Risør.
LED and Designit showed the lighting project “Atmosphere”, a suspended lamp with a lighting control device, for use in cafés and restaurants which allows the guests to individually control the level of light above their table.
Cafés and restaurants are arenas for socializing with family, friends and colleagues. Here you drink your café latte while reading the news paper, have a meeting during lunch and eat the finest gourmet dinner. The wide range of activities demand various light settings.
Cafés and restaurants are visited by people of all ages,- our children, you and me, our parents and grandparents. It is therefore essential that the quality of light is sufficient for all guests. In general one can say that the level of lighting is too low and does not satisfy our individual needs.
When developing the light fitting the target user group was elderly people. This group of people is increasing rapidly and is more active than ever. Practically everyone over the age of 60 suffer from age related sight reduction. By designing a light fitting which satisfies this group of peoples demand for individual control of the level of general and focused lighting we have designed a light fitting that is sufficient for people of all ages.
